The breakfast was excellent, especially the important variety of new fruits which we really appreciate. The northern segment of Fiordland was frequented by early Maori for up to 600 years before the beginning Europeans arrived. Our toiletries are made from organically grown lavender and we use refillable pump containers to reduce plastic waste. This is a very lovely home and you are so desirable and made us feel so welcome.
In 2004 we moved to Rolleston where we operated a Restaurant Restrict for 9 years and a local Ca for years. We have planted many fruit trees and bushes and have a productive herb and vegetable garden. Philippe has a passion for cooking and baking and loves the interaction with the guests. Set on the shores of Lake Te Ana is the vibrant and pretty township of Te Ana. All rooms are furnished with fresh king or splendid king beds and hot quality bedding.
Our four exquisite en suite rooms have been specifically designed to maximize views of the lake and mountains of Fiordland National Park. This great area of 14 steep sided fjords was carved by glaciers over the preceding 2 million years. We at Dunluce operate in a unique environment on the edge of a pristine World Heritage National Park, home to considerable endangered native species
