What you should know about Southland Hockey
Age group development camps Ore representative trials both players and keepers DATES TIMES ABC, COST FREE. The Rules Committee has received feedback from IDs, Coaches and Athletes that the changes in recent years to the Rules are working well, but that the taking of attacking Free Hits within 5 meres of the circle requires some clarification to ensure safety and unprejudiced play. The South land expansive competition also now includes a division 4 for both girls and boys introducing the better year 7 8 players to the club competition and playing 11 aside hockey, this competition runs on a Sunday morning first games starting at 11am with the final game finishing around 1pm. With the co operation of Eastern South land and Invercargill and in the support for the best development for our players combined teams under Hockey South land are sent away to NZ Representative Tournaments. Invercargill Eastern South land associations are supported by Hockey South land in delivering Hockey Fresh Zealand programs Insignificant Sticks as healthy as other clinics and programs. As well as the overhead Hockey South land supports many other areas of Hockey in South land. All umpires or anyone interested in becoming an umpire are encouraged to attend.
